Domestic backup generator set

A number of our clients require backup generator sets for domestic use and for small office applications,to prevent inconvenience due to power outages.
We use and recommend Kohler Generators.

They are installed on site and operate with 10 seconds of a power failure.
The incoming electrical supply to the house is constantly monitored and the generator is connected the the main switchboard via an automatic transfer switch.
The units are quiet and run on natural gas , which is available throughout Sydney suburbs,and will run indefinitely without refueling until power is restored.

The image on the left shows a recently installed Kohler KD200 being installed on a project in Ashfield.
The client required a 3 storey office block and warehouse to be supplied with backup electricity  in the event of a power failure.

Commercial Backup Generators

Rivers Electrical can also provide and instal commercial grade backup generators.
These Kohler generators are used on larger installations, such as office and warehouse facilities,and are designed to automatically operate in the event of a power failure,

This KD 200 is able to supply 278 amps per phase as a standby backup supply.
It is switched through an Automatic Transfer Switch , which is located adjacent to the Main Switchboard.
